Serving @ the Journey
Serving is a great way to grow in your relationship with God, show God’s love to others, and to demonstrate the attitude that Jesus modeled when he walked on earth. God created each of us with specific talents and gifts to use in impacting others. Our goal is to provide a place for you to invest yourself serving in the church. Get involved serving this week. In giving of yourself you’ll find significance you never imagined!

Sunday Serving Opportunities
Do you want to take your worship experience to a new level? Serve with the Sunday service teams that help make the Sunday worship service a reality. By serving on the greeting, usher, or hospitality team you will impact hundreds of attenders, meet new people, and have fun!
You can also be a part of the The Sunday Set Up or Tear Down Team! Did you know that The Journey sets up and tears down for our church services each Sunday? The Sunday Set Up/Tear Down Team makes it happen! Get involved in this team that arrive at either 8:30am or 8:00pm to set up/tear down the resources, refreshments and service elements.

Weekly Serving Opportunities
Serving isn’t just for Sundays! Each week there are plenty of opportunities to serve in The Journey office. From following up with guests to assembling programs for the Sunday service, investing just one hour makes an eternal difference.
Here are just a few opportunities:
Super Service Mondays
Each Monday, Drop by between 5-8 pm
Drop by The Journey office Monday evening to follow up with guests from Sunday’s services. The First Response Team prays for each guest and writes them a handwritten note thanking them for attending on Sunday. This team plays a critical role in helping guests feel welcome at The Journey.
Super Service Thursdays
Each Thursday, Drop by between 5-8 pm
The Super Service Thursday team meets together each week at The Journey office to assemble programs for Sunday’s services. With refreshments, music, and movies, the relaxed atmosphere allows you to make a new friend and a difference! Come join the party!
Serve during the day
If you have an hour or two during the day, there are always opportunities to serve at The Journey office during office hours: Monday- Friday, 8:30-5:30 pm. Feel free to drop by The Journey office anytime or share your availability with us and we’ll contact you.
Community Service Opportunities
Take it outside! Take your servant heart to the street by getting involved in community service at The Journey. Each month volunteer teams respond to the needs in our city by through community service. Here in New York City, it’s not hard to see all the needs surrounding us in our community. From feeding the hungry and collecting coats for the less fortunate, to helping clean up the parks and schools in New York City, join The Journey in making a difference.
