Baptism is an important step for every believer. If you haven’t been baptized, join the Journey on Saturday, July 25, 2009 for our next Baptism.
The Journey's next Baptism will be:
- When: Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 2:30
- Where: Jones Beach, Long Island
We'll meet on the beach directly in front of the East Bathhouse. Look for Journey T-Shirts!
- How do I get to the Beach:
-Public Transportation: Take the Long Island Railroad from Penn Station to Freeport, then take the N88 bus to the East Bathhouse at Jones Beach. ($14 round trip train/$2 bus fare)
-Driving Directions: Take I-495 E to exit 38. Merge onto Northern Parkway E (towards Hauppauge). Take exit 31A to merge onto Meadowbrook Parkway South towards Jones beach (partial toll). Continue on Ocean Dr/Ocean Parkway E to the East Bathhouse.

- Travel with us: Groups will meet inside Penn Station at the LIRR Train Terminal close to the ticket counters. There will be 2 groups...
- Group 1: Meet at Penn Station at 10:15am.
Depart Penn Station on 10:40am (green/Babylon LIRR train)
Arrive at Freeport LIRR station at 11:26am.
Depart Freeport LIRR station on N88 bus at 11:35am
- Group 2: Meet at Penn Station at 11:45am.
Depart Penn Station on 12:10pm (green/Babylon LIRR train)
Arrive at Freeport LIRR station at 12:57pm.
Depart Freeport LIRR station on N88 bus at 1:05pm
- What Do I Wear: Swim trunks, a bathing suit, or whatever clothes you don't mind getting wet. Also bring a towel and a change of clothes for afterwards.
- Can I invite my friends and family: Yes, Definitely! We would love to have them share in your special day.
- Can I come if I'm not being baptized: The Journey Beach Baptism will be a wonderful day of fun and fellowship that all are encouraged to attend, even if you don't plan on being baptized
- FUN AT THE BEACH PLAY GROUP @ 12pm! Join your friends at Jones Beach before the beach baptism for some fun in the sun. Bring your favorite beach games—Frisbee, volleyball, football—and meet on the beach in front of the East Bathhouse at noon.
